“You Know The Rules”, an online clothing business was founded back in 2016 by retired player, Isaac John alongside current Parramatta Eels and Cronulla Sharks players, Corey Norman and James Segeyaro.

In March 2018, YKTR announced that there was an attempt to form a collaboration with the Parramatta Eels.

Isaac John explains  that the ‘Parradise’ collection was a give back idea for the fans and young players within the community.

Money made from the collection was going to be donated to Junior Rugby League in the Parramatta Area, and the collection would be “cool street wear for Parra Fans,” John said.

John says that the collection was created to give back to charity work aligned with their brand, but, that was quickly shut down by the NRL.

John says that he is trying to come to terms as to why the NRL has not only disapproved the ‘Parradise’ idea, but they have also blocked all video blog filming of players.

“From 12 to 12 the NRL has put a block on us again,” he said in an online video.

Each video blog gave fans an insight into the working progress on the brand, and it allowed fans to see what occurs on a daily basis in careers.

John says that the brand can not comprehend why officials shut down their idea. As the National Rugby League has enforced restrictions on filming anything licensed by the organisation.

“It s a shame because I felt like we were providing good content for people to see, but it didn’t work out I guess.” He said.

Despite the block, YKTR continue to provide video blogs, working under new restrictions enforced by the NRL. The brand is set is release their seventh apparel collection in two weeks.
